  1. Buttery Shea Lip Cream

For those who suffer from severely cracked and peeling skin on their lips, a regular lip bam will not do the trick. You will need an extra creamy lip butter to heal your lips. Here is a rich shea butter lip cream that is the perfect cure for severely cracked lips.



What you need




      Organic shea butter - 1 small cup
      Beeswax                   -  half a cup
      Coconut oil               -  1 tablespoon
      Few drops of cocoa essential oil
      Few drops of honey



How to make it




      Take a clean container, add in the shea butter and beeswax and whip it as much as you can. A good whip will give you fluffier cream.So, whip till it gets nice and creamy.
      The beeswax acts as a binding agent and brings everything together.
      Once you get to a good fluffy consistency add in a few drops of coconut oil, cocoa essential oil, honey and mix together.
      Transfer the contents into a clean and dry lip butter container for later use.

2. Avocado and castor oil lip balm




Both avocado and castor oil have very hydrating properties. When you are making an oil lip balm, you can add one 1 cup of any oil, a combination of oils and an equal proportion of wax. Wax will make your lip balm more firm.

What you need


      Half cup avocado oil
      Half cup castor oil
      1 cup beeswax
      Dried beetroot powder
      1 vitamin E capsule


How to make it


      Put the beeswax over a double boiler and then add in the oil. Mix well so that all the ingredients combine well.

      Take the container off the heat and add in the beetroot powder for colour and the vitamin E capsule. Vitamin E acts as a preservative.

3. Coconut Butter Lip Cream



Another great recipe for dry lips is the coconut butter lip treatment. This can be applied and left overnight. You will wake up with the softest lips.

What you need


      1 cup organic coconut butter
      1 tablespoon coconut oil


   How to make it

      Whip the coconut butter till you get a nice creamy and fluffy consistency
      Add in the coconut oil and continue whipping
      Store in a dry and clean lip butter container
